Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology e.V., (DECHEMA)

DECHEMA is an interdisciplinary scientific society with more than 5,500 personal and institutional members (including about 500 companies), whose activities cover wide areas relevant to the process industries. DECHEMA is dedicated to the support of R&D progress and implementation in various fields of chemical engineering, including nanotechnology. DECHEMA’s work is supported by more than 100 working groups and technical committees bundling many stakeholder communities coming from academia, industry and authorities. 

Together with DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH, DECHEMA is founder and organiser of ACHEMA, the International world forum on Chemical Engineering, Environmental Protection and Biotechnology. DECHEMA organizes around 50 conferences with over 10000 participants per year, and offers more than 20 training courses on different topics. Co-ordination and support of DECHEMA’s activities is carried out by about 120 employees
