University of Aveiro (UAVR)
The University of Aveiro (UAVR) is one of Portugal's 14 public universities. Founded in 1973, UA has grown into a successful, dynamic and competitive institution. DeBio-CESAM (Department of Biology-Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies) is one of the R&D Units of the University of Aveiro Research Institute that currently integrates more than 300 researchers, from five Departments (Environment, Biology, Physics, Geosciences and Chemistry). During the last five years, CESAM published more than 2000 papers in JCR journals. CESAM researchers publish in world top journals, with an impact above world averages in the respective scientific areas
